Liu Bang was the father of the Han dynasty. He defeated his enemy and established the Han dynasty. The Han dynasty lasted from 206 BC to 220 AD. There were 24 emperors at the throne during the entire Han dynasty period.The most important part of the Western Han (207 BC-9 AD) period was that of Han Emperor Wu-ti, He took the throne at the age of sixteen.The government was usually monarchy, but for a small period of time it was democratic.
